Why Most Rehab Fails

Most people either do too much (causing a flare-up in pain) or too little (staying weak and never recovering). We use The Pain Scale to keep you within safe pain thresholds during your recovery. Its a simple scale from 0 to 10 that measures your pain.

And The Rate of Perceived Exertion Scale (RPE) to track the effort and intensity of each exercise. Again on a simple scale from 0 to 10.

The Fizzi Sweet Spot diagram comparing Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) and the Pain Scale. Highlights the ideal training zone as 7-9 effort with a 1-4 safe pain zone.

The Fizzi Sweet Spot Mehod

The Pain Scale and RPE Scale Example:

  1. High Effort (RPE 7-9): Challenging the muscle to create new, resilient tissue, guaranteeing that you get stronger.

  2. Low Pain (1-4): Keeping you within safe pain thresholds while staying consistent every single week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most chronic pain isn't solved by a 20-minute massage; it's solved by changing how you move every single day. Using high-definition video, I analyse your movement in your own home—where your pain actually happens—to create a strategy that works for your real life.
Not at all. This is clinical Pain Therapy. We deep-dive into your diagnosis and physiology to understand the "why" behind your pain. We then use the science of human movement to find your "Sweet Spot"—building strength without triggering a spike.
Traditional physio often focuses on short-term relief. As a Pain Therapist, I focus on long-term resilience. We look at the "Whole Picture"—lifestyle, diet, and movement—to move you from being a patient to being your own best healer.
